Meet the Parishioners

Founded in 2019, the 13th Parish is a not-for profit organisation and a registered charity. Our objectives are to run an annual festival, bringing the best new international material to the island, and offer opportunities for local people to make and exhibit their own work. Whilst our scope is both local and global we are also conscious of our neighbours, the other Channel Islands, Normandy and Brittany, and Jersey’s own cultural diversity. The festival aims to celebrate and strengthen all of these connections.

Outside of the festival we engage with other cultural organisations and events in Jersey and have been happy to partner with many of them during the year. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to get involved with the 13th Parish or work with us on a joint venture.

The festival has many members, supporters, volunteers, advisors and just plain friends, without whom we could not function. The organising committee thanks them all.

Tony Langlois - Festival Director

Tony lectures in Media and makes music for films. He connects the festival with partner organisations and is a nuisance to absolutely everyone.

Phill Hogben - Treasurer & Finance Manager

As Honorary Treasurer, Phill watches our finances like a large paisley hawk. He is also financial administrator with the Jersey Opera House and a devout music lover of questionable taste.

Úna Langlois - Film Programmer

Úna, the 13th Parish Film Programmer, has worked in film festivals and art projects for over 25 years. She is a founder of IndieCork, one of Ireland’s most respected festivals of independent film and music.

Jooj DuQuemin - Special Projects Liaison

Jooj is a local artist, particularly in the field of photography. For the 13th Parish she is manager of the Kino film-making project.

Steve Carter - Industry Liaison

Steve Carter comes to the 13th Parish from a long and busy career as Art Director in the international film business. He brings to the festival his worldly experience and industry associations

Marc Medland - Guest Manager

Marc is a film-maker, architect and fine artist. He is our point of contact for international festival guests and is the creator of the poster image we are using this year.

Jamie Pallot - Virtual Reality Curator

Jamie Pallot is a Jersey-born, New York-based producer of award-winning immersive media. He has worked on projects shown at the Sundance, Venice and Tribeca Festivals amongst many others. For 13th Parish he has curated a unique programme of world class Virtual Reality experiences.

For those wishing to further support the project, to avail of special offers and to have an input to its creative direction, our membership scheme will soon be up and running!
